Joe Hendry will have his first match on the main roster as a WWE Superstar next week on Smackdown.

The former TNA champion, who is now part of the NXT brand, will be taking on The Miz in a one-on-one match in a continuation of their angle at Saturday Night’s Main Event last week.

The Miz demanded a match against Hendry while complaining to Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis during a backstage segment which aired last night and Aldis gave Miz what he wanted.

Next week’s episode of Smackdown was actually taped last night in Detroit, Michigan.
