Despite first there was news that both Jerry Lawler and his girlfriend will not be released until they appear in court on Monday, the duo were ultimately freed from Shelby County jail and both are now home.

The WWE Hall of Famer told WMC Action News 5 that the whole situation was just a “misunderstanding that got out of hand” and hopefully the court will realize that on Monday. Lawler is also hopeful that WWE will be lifting the suspension after the whole story comes out and is reinstated quickly.

Lawler, 66, and Lauryn, 27, are still planning to get married despite the latest setback.
Lawler said he and Lauryn are fine now and are still planning on getting married.
