Jeff Hardy becomes the #1 contender for the Intercontinental title

Jeff Hardy will have his first shot at a singles title since the Hardy Boyz’ return at WrestleMania after winning a 15-man battle royal to become the number one contender for the Intercontinental title currently held by The Miz.

The 15 individuals who participated were Apollo Crews, Big Show, Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt, Curtis Axel, Elias, Finn Balor, Goldust, Jason Jordan, Jeff Hardy, Kalisto, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Matt Hardy, and R-Truth.

The final two ended up being Jeff and Jason Jordan, who a couple of weeks ago teamed up during the SummerSlam Kickoff match. The ending came when Jordan eliminated Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, and Elias in quick succession only for Jeff Hardy to come from behind and throw Jordan over the top rope for the win.

Jeff Hardy is a four-time Intercontinental champion and has 327 combined days as champion.
