Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray win Dusty Classic and get added to NXT Women’s title match

The team of Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray won the women’s Dusty Tag Team Classic tournament last night on NXT.

The duo went through Lash Legend and Amari Miller in the first round, eliminated Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter in the second round, and finally beat Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai last night in the main event of NXT.

Usually, the winners of the tournament get a tag team titles shot but instead, Shirai and Ray inserted themselves in the NXT Women’s title match at Stand & Deliver, turning the planned Mandy Rose vs Cora Jade match into a fatal four-way.

Stand & Deliver will take place on Saturday, April 2 in Dallas on the day of WrestleMania, with a start time of 1PM ET.
