I Quit match official for Backlash 2022

Ronda Rousey will get another shot at the Smackdown Women’s title as her match against Charlotte Flair for Backlash has been made official.

The title match will be an I Quit match where the only way to win the match is to make your opponent utter those two words. There will be no pinfall, no countout, and no disqualification.

Rousey lost her original title shot at WrestleMania after Charlotte Flair pinned her. Rousey became the second female to win the Royal Rumble but not win the title at WrestleMania. Asuka, the first winner of the Rumble, also suffered the same ending in 2018.
