Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Io Shirai, one of the most gifted women wrestlers in the world today, is currently in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center having a tryout.

Meltzer says that this tryout is different in the way that she’s not part of a class that do the routine workouts in hopes to impress the coaches and land a deal, but rather it was her invitation to come over and check out the place, see the area and how things work and hopefully sign a WWE deal.

The 26-year-old Japanese sensation currently works for World Wonder Ring Stardom, a women-only wrestling promotion in Japan. Earlier this month, she was featured in the Japan Playboy magazine.
