Halftime Heat returns live with NXT for tonight’s Super Bowl LIII

To commemorate the 20 year anniversary of the original Halftime Heat, WWE will be presenting the NXT version of it today as Halftime Heat returns on the screens.

A huge six-man tag team match involving Aleister Black, Ricochet, and Velveteen Dream versus Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and Adam Cole will be the only match of this broadcast which will air live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Halftime Heat will air on the WWE Network, WWE.COM, YouTube, and all other WWE social media accounts during the Super Bowl halftime.

The inaugural Halftime Heat, which aired on January 31, 1999, saw The Rock defending the WWE title against Mankind in an empty arena match.

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, now a trainer at the WWE Performance Center and one of the key men helping running NXT, will be doing commentary for this match along with Vic Joseph.
