The Ring General is now also King of the Ring! Gunther defeated The Viper in the final of the King of the Ring tournament after surviving an RKO.

The finish of the match came when Orton hit an RKO but because of his bad knee, he couldn’t properly secure the pin and Gunther kicked out. Gunther then reversed Orton’s pin position into a pinfall of his own and the referee counted the three even though Orton’s shoulder was way up and not on the mat.

Triple H came to the ring to present Gunther with his crown and in his post-match interview, Gunther said the Apex Predator became the prey and at SummerSlam, he will become the new World Heavyweight champion.

Gunther went through Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, and Jey Uso during the tournament before defeating Randy Orton.
