The WWE World Heavyweight title will be on the line at the Survivor Series as champion Gunther will defend his gold against former champion Damian Priest.

Priest became the number one contender for the title after he won a fatal four-way match on Raw in Saudi Arabia last week, defeating Seth Rollins, Dominik Mysterio, and Sheamus.

The match was not confirmed for Survivor Series and there were rumors it might be saved for Saturday Night’s Main Event, but last night on Raw, Gunther and Priest had a face-off in the ring and the match was officially announced on the card.

Gunther defeated Priest to win the title at SummerSlam after Finn Balor turned on his former Judgment Day stablemate.
