Gunther reaches 500 days as WWE Intercontinental champion

Gunther reached 500 days as WWE Intercontinental champion and is just 120 days away from grabbing the top place in the combined days chart as champion.

Gunther currently sits in fourth place in the chart, behind Don Muraco’s 541 days as champion over two reigns, The Miz’ 597 days over eight reigns, and Pedro Morales 619 days across two reigns.

The Ring General won the title from Ricochet on the June 10, 2022 episode of Friday Night Smackdown in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has successfully defended it ever since.

He passed Honky Tonk Man’s record of longest-reigning Intercontinental champion 46 days ago and that record was broken after 454 days.
