Gunther and Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis ended up in a brawl after the show yesterday, planting the seeds for Aldis to lace up his wrestling boots one more time.

To say Gunther was not happy for losing the match was an understatement and he blamed Aldis in a backstage segment.

Gunther kept poking Aldis and called him a jealous failed wrestler. At that point, Aldis told Gunther to “get the f*ck off me” and pushed him back as the two started brawling.

Several officials came in to separate the two and Aldis informed Gunther that he would see him on Friday on Smackdown.

There have been rumors that Aldis was possibly earmarked to make a return to the ring and it seems that this was a good setup for it.
