Giulia became the new WWE Women’s United States champion after she defeated Zelina Vega last night on Smackdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Japanese sensation, known also as The Beautiful Madness, finished Vega off with the Arrivederci and a northern lights bomb for the pinfall victory.

This is Giulia’s first title on the main roster, just months after being called up following a stint in NXT where she also won the NXT Women’s title.

It ends Vega’s 63-day reign as champion, having defeated Chelsea Green back in April 25 on an episode of Smackdown.

“She’s taken #SmackDown by storm, and now has the gold to prove it,” posted Triple H after the win along with the trademark finger-pointing picture.
