Kurt Angle was joined by another Olympic gold medalist last night on Smackdown in Pittsburgh to celebrate his birthday: Gable Steveson.

Steveson was one of the many who participated in Angle’s birthday party on Smackdown in backstage segments and then was part of the main event spot as well, helping Angle take down Alpha Academy with milk in a remake from the 2001 angle where Kurt sprayed down everyone with milk.

While we haven’t seen Steveson since WrestleMania, he has been training at the WWE Performance Center full time in anticipation of his official in-ring debut.

His training took a while to get going as WWE medical realized that Steveson had Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a condition that causes the heart to beat abnormally fast for periods of time.
