Former NJPW and MLW employee joins NXT creative writing team

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has hired George Carroll as a new writer for the NXT brand.

Carroll was recently the Senior Talent Coordinator for Major League Wrestling. He spent two years working for MLW where he was also a producer and was the liaison between the roster and the creative team. Prior to that, Carroll spent a year and a half as the Director of U.S. Operations for New Japan Pro Wrestling where he managed the initial expansion of the Japanese promotion in the United States.

WWE is re-hiring individuals who were previously released due to coronavirus cost-cutting measures now that live events are resuming. Shawn Daivari, who was a producer for WWE and also let go, was also re-hired last week.
