First three participants in ladder match for NXT title advance

The first three participants in the six-man ladder match to determine the next NXT champion were announced last night on NXT.

Shiloh Hill advanced first by defeating Josh Briggs and then Sean Legacy defeated Eli Knight in the second qualifier to advance. Legacy and Knight are NXT’s newest arrivals after previously having WWE ID contracts.

Former champion Ricky Saints, who was the champion before Oba Femi won it, gets a free pass and was automatically inserted into the match, leaving three empty spots.

Those spots will be determined by three more qualifying matches which will feature Dion Lennox vs Myles Borne, Keanu Carver vs Andre Chase, and Joe Hendry vs Jackson Drake.

The ladder match will take place on the February 3 episode of NXT on The CW.
