Trey Miguel releases another statement on X: “I’m a different man today.”

Trey Miguel of The Rascalz released another statement on X following his release from AEW just days after he signed a contract along with the rest of the group.

Rumors are that Miguel’s release came from “high up” and while the exact reason for his release isn’t known, Miguel might have hinted at why in a post on X.

“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my time. I’ve always apologized and did my best to put a better foot forward after,” he wrote. “I don’t preach hate and I don’t take any pride in being hateful. I’m a man of faith, I believe in forgiveness and only ever preach that. I’m a different man today.”

A few years ago, Miguel made some online comments which would not fly in today’s world. It’s the same situation that the late Jay Briscoe had with the company, where he was not allowed on AEW television by WBD due to his past comments. Jay never appeared on AEW TV and it was only after his untimely death that his brother was allowed to be featured on television.
