Enzo Amore rushed to hospital after injury at Payback

It was not a good night to be Enzo Amore yesterday as the charismatic WWE Superstar had to be transported to the hospital after suffering an injury during the opening moments of his match along with Big Cass against the Vaudevillains at Payback.

The match kicked off the pay-per-view portion of Payback however the referee stopped the match just minutes after the opening bell. The Enzo injury occurred when he went to slide through the ropes however his hand caught the bottom rope and his head whip-lashed violently on the canvas. Amore went down on the floor and looked completely out, with his eyes wide open but nobody home.

After the referee checked on him it was obvious that Amore couldn’t continue his match and threw up the X hand signal, signaling a legit injury, stopping the match altogether.

Amore was transported to a local hospital where he underwent a battery of tests. During the show, the announcers said that he was able to move his arms and legs and talk to the medical staff and was later released from the hospital before the pay-per-view was over.

It’s not clear how long Amore will be out for however WWE has strict guidelines on concussions and he would have to pass several tests performed by the WWE medical team before getting the green light to return.
