Edge returns at SummerSlam

WWE Hall of Famer Edge returned at SummerSlam and spoiled Judgment Day’s party, helping The Mysterios to get a much-needed win during the no disqualification tag team match.

The Rated-R Superstar made a Brood-like entrance, rising from the bottom of a staircase surrounded with fire. After getting rid of Priest on the way to the ring, Edge delivered a spear to Balor, and then another one to Priest. Rey and Dominik then hit a double 619 on Balor and Rey got the pin.

Edge has been out of action since the night after Hell In A Cell in early June when Priest, Ripley, and Balor turned on him after Balor was introduced as the newest member of the faction.

Over the last several weeks, a cryptic video aired teasing his return, showing memorabilia of many of his past opponents as “Easter eggs.” A video which aired during the Kickoff showed “TONITE” written in blood, a continuation of the last video which aired on Raw.
