Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament retuning to NXT in 2020

The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is returning next year with more details being given on the January 1 taped episode of NXT on USA Network. The news was announced during the NXT show today.

This will be the fifth annual tournament classic which was created to honor the American Dream Dusty Rhodes who played a big part in NXT history.

Previous winners of the tournament include Samoa Joe and Finn Balor, Authors of Pain, The Undisputed Era, and Aleister Black and Ricochet.

So far there is no news on when the tournament will commence and when the winners will be crowned.

In previous years, the Rhodes family presented the winners with the trophy but that is not going to happen anymore with both Cody and Dustin Rhodes heavily involved in NXT’s main competition All Elite Wrestling.
