PWInsider.com is reporting that Drew McIntyre recently underwent surgery which is why he has not been on WWE television over the past couple of weeks.

The surgery is reported to be minor and McIntyre has a chance to be cleared by next week although that is entirely up to the WWE medical team. It’s not known what McIntyre underwent the knife for and details about the whole thing have been kept under wraps.

McIntyre was last seen on Raw when he lost to Ricochet in a King of the Ring match in the first round. McIntyre was the favorite to win the tournament although WWE went a completely different route this time in the tournament, providing quite a few surprise wins – and losses – along the way.
