Drew McIntyre returned last night on Smackdown, his first appearance since the last Saturday Night’s Main Event towards the end of May where he lost a steel cage match to Damian Priest.

The Scottish star interrupted the opening segment between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton and tried to insert some tension between the two friends. McIntyre got an RKO for his effort.

Later in the broadcast, McIntyre confronted Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis backstage and Aldis booked a match between McIntyre and Orton for next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia.

The match joins Gunther vs Goldberg and LA Knight vs Seth Rollins, with one more at least expected to be added.
