Deadline is reporting in an exclusive story that WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has joined the cast of Highlander, the new movie from United Artists.

McIntyre will play the role of Angus MacLeod, the brother of main star Henry Cavill. Russell Crowe, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Max Zhang and Dave Bautista are also part of the main cast.

Production is set to start in early 2026 according to Deadline and that will take McIntyre away from WWE television for a while.
