There are new WWE Tag Team champions in town as Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano defeated Grayson Waller and Austin Theory on Smackdown in the main event of the show.

This is DIY’s first run with the tag belts on the main roster, having previously won the NXT Tag Team titles. In fact, they won the titles in the same building where they won the NXT titles eight years earlier.

WWE CCO Triple H wrote on X, “So much history here. @JohnnyGargano & @CiampaWWE stepped into the same building where they first won tag team gold… and did it all over again. Congrats to #DIY, your NEW @WWE Tag Team Champions.”

He also posed with the two in the same way he did eight years prior, uploading both pictures side-by-side.

This title change ends the run of A-Town Down Under who won the titles at WrestleMania 40.
