Danny Burch out with separated shoulder

Danny Burch, one half of the NXT Tag Team champions, was injured on Wednesday during the main event of NXT, suffering a separated shoulder.

Medical personnel attended to Burch immediately after he landed badly on his shoulder and he was not allowed back in the ring, leaving Oney Lorcan alone for the rest of the match against Kross and Balor. Lorcan eventually finished the job and retained the NXT Tag Team titles for the duo after pinning the NXT champion thanks to Kross who turned on him.

It’s not known how long Burch will be out for, but usually a minor separated shoulder takes a few weeks to recover from while a more serious separation takes three months or more.

With NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver around the corner, you would think that the NXT Tag Team titles would be on the line but it will be interesting to see what will happen with Burch on the sidelines.
