The Crown Jewel premium live event in Riyadh went off without a hitch and the WWE Superstars and crew departed the country immediately following the show.
The show faced weeks of uncertainty due to constant bombings in Saudi Arabia from the Houthi movement, which also closed off the international airport for days.
WWE took a skeleton crew to the Kingdom, with only the necessary people required to put up the show, with most of the production, including commentary, done from the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Production crew who opted to go to Riyadh were compensated with an additional $3,000 in danger pay.
Crown Jewel was broadcast with a bit of an air-delay which served as a cushion just in case there are production hiccups.
