CM Punk will be appearing on next week’s NXT on USA Network to make a special announcement.

NXT General Manager Ava closed last night’s show with a backstage skit, receiving a phone call from Punk and then revealing that Punk has something special in mind for Chicago the following week and wants to announce it ahead of time.

Punk is one of the few main roster stars who will be appearing on the premiere episode of NXT on CW on October 1. The show will be held live from the Allstate Arena and will be followed by episode two from St. Louis where Randy Orton will appear.

The October 8 broadcast of NXT will go head-to-head with AEW’s Title Tuesday episode of Dynamite.
