Cena unsure if he’ll be at WrestleMania…but his WWE career is far from over

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote his new HBO show Peacemaker, former 16-time world champion John Cena said he’s unsure if he will make it to WrestleMania 38 this year.

Cena missed last year’s WrestleMania as well as he was filming Peacemaker in Canada and coronavirus restrictions made it impossible for him to leave production, do Mania, and return back to filming without quarantine.

This year, Cena said there are a lot of good opportunities for him coming up which he would love to take but if all those opportunities line up as they should, he probably won’t be able to participate during the two-night WrestleMania.

But Cena, who returned to tour with WWE this past Summer for two months, said that we haven’t seen the last of him in a WWE ring.

“I’m not done with WWE by a long shot. That’s my home, I love it,” Cena told Ellen. “I was able to go back during the summer for a few months and entertain audiences when they welcomed audiences back to arenas. So I’ve far from had my last performance.”
