The NXT star who will be taking on Grayson Waller this Friday in the United States title #1 contender tournament is former NXT champion Carmelo Hayes.

Shawn Michaels revealed Hayes’ name in a video which was posted on WWE’s social media properties last night.

This will not be Hayes’ debut on the main roster as he already showed his talents before to the wider WWE audience, but it will certainly be one of his biggest opportunity to date.

Hayes defeated Lexis King on Saturday night at NXT Deadline.
