Can NXT capitalize with no AEW competition tonight?

NXT will have a rare night without any AEW competition tonight as Dynamite is being pre-empted by TNT due to the NBA game. But on a night when NXT can grab some extra viewers, the show will be facing one of the biggest nights of the Democratic National Convention.

Hour two of NXT will air head-to-head with the start of the convention which feature speeches from a few heavyweights, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Governor Tony Evers, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, and former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords along with a performance by Billie Eilish.

At least, NXT will be spared from keynote speeches from Senator Kamala Harris and former president Barack Obama, who are expected to start at 10PM when NXT ends.

The hope for NXT is that some of the younger viewership that usually tune in to Dynamite would be watching the show tonight. Dynamite will air on Saturday at 6PM on TNT.
