Brock Lesnar wins sixth WWE Championship at Day 1

“Free agent” Brock Lesnar is WWE champion once again after last night he won the fatal five-way match, ending Big E’s three-month title run. Lesnar was never originally scheduled to be part of this match but was added when Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the day.

The Beast Incarnate pinned Big E to reclaim the title in a wild main event when E went to give Lesnar the Big Ending but Lesnar got out of it and hit the F5 for the three-count. Lesnar has now beat both Kofi and Big E for the WWE title.

Perhaps the most newsworthy stuff from the match was the possible Lesnar vs Lashley one-on-one match that WWE fans have been waiting for. Lashley stared down Lesnar after he won and during the match Lashley even speared Lesnar through the security wall. Last night was the first time that Lashley and Lesnar interacted in the ring.

What happens to the Lesnar, Reigns, and Paul Heyman storyline remains to be seen, although a title vs title match at WrestleMania does sound interesting.
