Bro! Matt Riddle debuts on Smackdown next week

Get ready to hear a lot of “bro” on Smackdown starting from next week as former NXT Tag Team titleholder Matt Riddle will debut on the next episode of Smackdown on FOX.

Riddle spent nearly three years in NXT, first showing up at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV and then making his debut in late October. He was one of the biggest fan favorites in NXT throughout his stint there and won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the NXT Tag Team titles with Pete Dunn.

He wrestled his last match for NXT a few weeks ago in a fight pit against Timothy Thatcher and did the time-honored tradition of losing in his last match for the brand.

WWE offered the opportunity to Kurt Angle to manage Riddle on Smackdown but Angle turned down the job.
