Brie and Nikki Bella appeared on PodcastOne’s From The Top Rope podcast to discuss a variety of subjects, including having an interesting discussion about Daniel Bryan’s in-ring future.
Brie seemed adamant that her husband will eventually return to the ring one way or another, although not necessarily with the WWE. She explained how she reminded him that he now has a daughter that he has to take care of but if the doctors tell him it’s safe to get back in the ring, then, “you have one life to live and I will never hold you back.”
She encouraged Bryan that if WWE won’t allow him, then he has to find somewhere else. “Obviously, he would love to be able to get back in that WWE ring. But I know for a fact my husband is going to find his way back to the ring,” she said.
The former WWE champion last wrestled at an overseas tour in April 2015 in a tag team match along with John Cena against Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. He was forced to retire after WWE’s chief medical doctor Dr. Joseph Maroon did not want to clear him to return.
Bryan had to surrender the WWE title and the Intercontinental title shortly after winning them at WrestleMania XXX and WrestleMania 31 respectively due to his problems.
The Smackdown General Manager often said that he would find an alternative place once his contract is up if WWE does not let him get back in the squared circle.
