WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix returned at the Day 1 pay-per-view to even the odds during the Edge vs Miz match.

Miz’s wife Maryse kept interfering on behalf of her husband and after Miz nearly scored the pinfall following a Skull Crushing Finale, Beth Phoenix showed up at the entrance way. A technical issue seems to have delayed the start of her theme song and Phoenix did not move until the song hit.

With a face ready to snap somebody, Phoenix marched down to the ring to scare Maryse away and then distracted The Miz long enough for Edge to recover and set up the spear for the pinfall.

Phoenix left her NXT commentary position last month with the WarGames show being her last one. She said she wanted to spend more time with her family as the reason why she decided to walk away from her NXT duties.
