Asuka becomes double champ with Tag Team titles win

The Empress of Tomorrow is now a double champ, joining the likes of Becky Lynch, Bayley and Sasha Banks who held two different titles at the same time. Apart from holding the WWE Tag Team titles with Charlotte Flair, Asuka is also the Raw Women’s champion, a title she has held since SummerSlam this year.

Following yesterday’s TLC, Asuka also became the first person to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles with two different partners after she teamed up with Charlotte Flair and successfully beat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

Asuka last held the Tag Team titles with Kairi Sane at this year’s WrestleMania, losing them to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross on night one of the event. The pair spent 180 days as champions.

Adding her NXT title reign as well, Asuka has now spent 1,000 days and counting as a champion in her WWE career so far.
