Aleister Black returns on Smackdown, attacks Big E

Aleister Black made his return on Smackdown last night, interfering in the four-way match for the Intercontinental title and attacking Big E.

The match, featuring also Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, ended when Black hit the Black Mass on Big E, allowing the champion Apollo Crews to cover him for the pinfall. Black made his presence felt towards the end of the broadcast, with the lights going off and smoke filling the WWE ThunderDome.

The former NXT champion then walked through the smoke, removed his jacket and got in the ring as Big E looked on confused but ready to fight. With Crews holding on the E’s leg, Black hit the Black Mass and Crews covered.

This was Black’s first appearance on WWE television since October where he lost a match to Kevin Owens on Monday Night Raw. Vignettes promoting his return started airing a few weeks ago.
