AJ Styles reportedly traded back to Smackdown due to disagreements with Paul Heyman

There is a story that started floating around this weekend that the new Intercontinental champion AJ Styles was traded back to Smackdown after several disagreements with Paul Heyman over at Raw while Heyman was still serving as the Executive Director of the brand.

Some industry insiders noted that Styles also blamed Heyman for Gallows and Anderson being released from the company back in April and while it was ultimately Vince McMahon’s decision on how to let go or not, Styles felt that Heyman should have used his influence more to keep hold of the former tag team champions.

The Phenomenal One was eventually traded back to Smackdown as his time on the Raw roster was none too pleasant for him and after spending a couple of years on the blue brand, he felt more at home there.

Heyman, as everyone knows, was also removed from his Executive Director job this week with Bruce Prichard taking over the creative team after WWE consolidated both crews.

During a live gaming stream a few months ago, Styles voiced his displeasure at the WWE decision to let his buddies go and said he felt partly responsible for it because he couldn’t save their jobs.
