Adjustment to last Friday’s Smackdown rating sees best number in 18 months

Last week’s Smackdown with Vince McMahon appearing and Roman Reigns defending the title against Riddle had a pretty big adjustment in the ratings and the show is now classified as getting 2,389,000 viewers.

The original number was 2,290,000 viewers but there was an issue with the Nieslen viewership and numbers were adjusted to reflect the fix.

The 2,389,000 number means there was a 475,000 increase in viewership compared to the prior week and it was the most-watched Smackdown since December 25, 2020 when Smackdown had a big lead-in from the NFL and pulled in 3,303,000 viewers. Excluding that show, this was the most-watched since March 20, 2020.

The Reigns vs Riddle main event did over 2.5 million viewers and over 900,000 in the 18-49 demo and that is the best number for a match in many, many, many months.

The overall 18-49 number was also adjusted up to 0.62 and was the best one since January 21 of this year.
