W. Morrissey departs Impact Wrestling

PWInsider.com is reporting that W. Morrissey has left Impact Wrestling effective immediately. His final appearance for the promotion will be on tonight’s episode of AXS TV where he will team up with PCO to take on Moose and Steve Maclin.

The 34-year-old has been working for Impact since April of last year, returning to the ring after several alcohol issues derailed his career following his firing from WWE. He had quite a successful run in the promotion despite never winning a title there. Morrissey got back into ring shape and proved a lot of people wrong over the past 13 months.

A few weeks ago, Morrissey made his AEW debut when he was the surprise challenger of Wardlow.

It’s not clear where he is heading next.
