TNA to release app for UK viewers to watch Impact…at a price

TNA will be without a television deal in the United Kingdom starting next month as their partnership with Challenge TV wraps up in the beginning of January.

Despite Dixie Carter saying that they will have a new partner, the partner is still a ghost as of this writing, leaving UK fans without an outlet to watch Impact. To come up with a solution, TNA will be releasing a mobile app starting January 5 exclusively for the UK market that will allow fans in the region to watch Impact…at a cost of £1.99 per month. That is the equivalent of $2.50.

The app, which will be only available for iOS and Android devices on launch day, will screen Impact Wrestling episodes in real time with the US broadcast. The same app will also let UK viewers to watch TNA’s Greatest Matches, TNA Classics, and TNA British Boot Camp.

John Pollock from Live Audio Wrestling adds that there are plans to convert the app to streaming devices such as the Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku. The name of the app will be Total Access TNA Impact.
