TNA stars voice frustration over NXT’s handling of TNA title, invasion teased

An angle seems to be setting up online as several TNA stars voiced their frustration on how NXT is treating the TNA title following last night’s announcement of the title vs title match set up for next week’s broadcast.

Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander, Steph De Lander, Eddie Edwards, Mike Santana, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella, ring announcer McKenzie Mitchell, and several others all wrote on X that it’s time for a change and time to bring the TNA back home.

Their words seem to indicate some sort of an “invasion” angle, with the main TNA X account re-posting most of the comments.

Trick Williams has been TNA champion for the past 115 days, beating Joe Hendry at NXT Battleground. Jacy Jayne, the current NXT Women’s champion, was also the TNA Knockouts champion, although for just 35 days, after she beat Masha Slamovich at Slammiversary in a winner-takes-all match. She was defeated by Ash by Elegance at NXT Heatwave last month.
