TJP returns to Impact Wrestling

Former WWE Cruiserweight champion TJP made his return to Impact Wrestling during yesterday’s episode.

Perkins returned when Ace Austin was cutting a promo in the ring and issued an open challenge, which TJP responded to. The two had a match which TJP eventually won with the Detonation Kick.

This is his second stint with Impact having previously wrestled for the company between 2004 and 2016. He assumed the identity of Manik in the final few years in the company.

In 2016, he moved to WWE and participated in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament, winning the tournament and the Cruiserweight title as well.

He was released from WWE in February of this year. Perkins has not signed a deal with Impact yet and will still be appearing on the independent scene.
