Tessa Blanchard discusses reason why she left TNA

Tessa Blanchard told CMLL Informa that she was given an ultimatum by TNA Wrestling to either chose them or CMLL moving forward and that was the reason she ultimately decided to leave TNA.

Blanchard said that in Mexico she has a life and is very happy to be living there.

“I took my time to think it over with my dad, whom I trust very much,” Blanchard said. “My life is here. I’m not just another foreigner, I’m the most Mexican Gringa.”

The often controversial star is regularly booked with CMLL and is a major part of the company’s women division. She only wrestled 9 times for TNA since the beginning of 2026 whereas in CMLL, she is booked regularly for shows.

Blanchard added that she won everything over in TNA, but she has more dreams and goals to pursue in CMLL.

“I needed to focus my career and my life here in Mexico, and from this moment on, I’m 100% with CMLL,” she continued.

She is the only female to ever hold the TNA World title and also the TNA Knockouts title.
