Spoilers: TNA shoots major angle after One Night Only pay-per-view

The following news story contains spoilers for an upcoming episode of TNA Impact so if you do not want to read it, please stop right here.

After the TNA One Night Only pay-per-view went off the air yesterday, the company taped another match for a future Impact show featuring Matt Hardy and Ethan Carter III for the TNA title, a match which was set up a few days earlier with the stipulation of title vs career.

Hardy won the TNA title, keeping his career and inflicting Ethan Carter III his first loss in TNA since he made his debut a couple of years ago. The match had a double turn with Hardy going heel and EC3 going face. Tyrus, who had been aligning himself with Carter, interfered on behalf of Matt Hardy.

This is the second title reign for Matt Hardy. He won the TNA title back at Bound For Glory in a three way match but had to vacate the title after storyline called for an injunction preventing him from appearing on TNA TV unless he drops the title. The series of events led to the TNA World Title Series which Carter won on the first live Impact on Pop this past Tuesday.
