Scott D’Amore says he’d welcome CM Punk to Impact Wrestling

Speaking in a video interview with PWMania.com, Impact Wrestling President Scott D’Amore left the door open for a CM Punk run in Impact and put him over for being respectful backstage at tapings.

“If you want to come by and visit, as long as you’re respectful to our crew, you will be respected,” D’Amore said. “He was a pleasure to have when he came around. So is there a possibility he is here in the future? You never know.”

Punk was backstage at the Impact TV tapings the night after Bound For Glory last month and also showed up backstage in April when the company was again in Chicago for TV.

“The value can’t be understated of good senior veteran talent right now with name recognition and drawability as well. The door is open,” D’Amore continued.

Punk is no longer part of AEW after he was fired in early September and there are big expectations, although nothing verified or confirmed, that he will be showing up at Survivor Series which also happens to take place in Chicago later this month.
