New TNA title introduced to replace King of the Mountain title

The King of the Mountain title is officially gone from TNA and the Grand title, a new title for a new division, has been created.

The new title will be contested under MMA-type rules, with rounds and judges scoring a match if it goes to distance. To crown the new champion, there will be a tournament with 8 TNA stars who will wrestle in three 3-minute rounds and if the match goes to the 9-minute time limit, the judges will then decide on who the winner will be. The tournament final will take place at Bound For Glory.

The title and tournament were announced by new TNA President Billy Corgan during the Impact tapings.
