Leon Slater surrenders X Division title in return of TNA World title shot at BFG 2026

Leon Slater, who won the TNA X Division title last night at the Lockdown pay-per-view, surrendered his title in return to exercise “option C” which is a shot at the TNA World title.

The announcement came after The Nemeth brothers became the TNA Tag Team champions in the main event of the show and were celebrating in the ring.

Enter Slater, who said he wanted to create more history in the company, and with his X Division legacy safe, he now wants a shot at becoming the youngest TNA World champion ever.

Slater then handed over the X Division title belt to TNA President Carlos Silva, but Nic Nemeth tried to attack from behind, only for his plan to go south as Slater saw through it all, putting down the champion with a superkick.

The match will headline the Bound For Glory pay-per-view this October.
