Joe Hendry becomes the TNA World champion

Fan favorite Joe Hendry became the TNA World champion last night at Genesis, successfully defeating Nic Nemeth in the main event of the show.

It took two standing ovation finishers to write off Nemeth, who kept the title for a total of 183 days after he won it at Slammiversary last year from Moose.

After the match was over, Frankie Kazarian threatened to cash in his Call Your Shot trophy but WWE Hall of Famer John “Bradshaw” Layfield showed up and delivered the clothesline from hell on Kazarian, preventing him from ruining Hendry’s moment.

This is the first major singles title for the Scottish star with TNA Wrestling and it caps off an incredible year he had which shot him to superstardom.
