Impact announces Knockouts Knockdown all-women event for October 9

Following the success of the NWA Empower women’s only pay-per-view, Impact Wrestling announced a new Impact Plus exclusive event titled Knockouts Knockdown which will air on October 9.

The announcement was made yesterday by Gail Kim and Christy Hemme on the Impact Wrestling social media channels.

Kim also announced that a Monster’s Ball match will be taking place during the show in honor of former Impact star Daffney, who passed away at the beginning of this month. Daffney – along with Taylor Wilde – were the first two females to participate in that gimmick match several years ago.

Deonna Purrazzo, Renee Michelle, Lady Frost, and Mercedes Martinez are the first individuals announced for this event.

Knockouts Knockdown will be taped as part of the three-day filming sessions this coming weekend at the Skyway Studios. Tickets are still available at ImpactWrestling.com.

“There is so much planned, so much excitement for Knockouts Knockdown – I know the fans will be excited to watch it live this weekend, starting Friday afternoon, at The IMPACT Zone in Nashville,” Kim said. “Doing something to honor Daffney’s memory is something that everyone involved with the event and others are thrilled to be able to do.”
