Former WWE EVP joins TNA in same role

TNA announced today the hiring of John “Big” Gaburick, as the new Executive Vice President of Television Production effective immediately.

Gaburick joins TNA after he left WWE last month where he held the same position. He worked for WWE for 13 years and was highly regarded in his position. Long time WWE fans might remember him appearing on the Tough Enough series when the show aired on MTV.

In his new role, Gaburick will oversee management and production of TNA Entertainment television including live IMPACT Wrestling, marketing and advertising production, special projects and digital assets.

“As TNA evolves, John’s award-winning creative vision and production expertise coupled with his sports and entertainment industry business savvy make him the perfect person to push us in new directions,” said TNA President Dixie Carter. “He is a gifted and innovative storyteller, and we are thrilled to have him on board.”

Gaburick in the press release said that he always admired Dixie Carter and TNA “as a uniquely dynamic and growing organization,” and added that this opportunity will be a new challenge for him.
