Eric Young returns to Impact at Slammiversary 2020

Eric Young returned to Impact Wrestling last night and was part of the main event for the vacant Impact World title but fell short of winning the match and the gold.

Young was one of the many who was released from WWE back in April due to the coronavirus pandemic cost-cutting measures and returned to the company he worked for 12 years.

The 40-year-old worked for TNA between 2004 and 2016, winning numerous titles along the way including the World, X Division, and Tag Team titles but in 2016 he decided to change scenery and landed in NXT where he led SAnitY. While in NXT the group was successful, their run on the main roster was anything but and the company ended up splitting the group, drafting them to different brands.
